Banca Itali Eritrea

The port of Massawa in Eritrea used to be one of the main gates to the West Africa. Founded by the Ottomans and developed by the Italians from 1860 to 1944, this city has suffered major destructions during the independence war of Eritrea, 1992. A few buildings in the old city reflect the magnificence of the old days. Banca d’Italia is one of these few buildings. The project is to turn this two-storey edifice into a exquisite 8 suites hotel.
